United Against Malaria bracelets now available in Clicks stores in South Africa

United Against Malaria bracelets are continuously connecting people worldwide around a common cause. The campaign is excited to announce that these advocacy tools are now available in South Africa-based Clicks stores, in 150 locations. The pharmacy, health, home and beauty store joins Exclusive Books, Out of Africa, and other retailers in the country as bracelet distributors. So far, sales for the past three weeks have been robust. UAM would like to thank Clicks for joining the campaign and encourage others to purchase and promote the bracelet to their partners and customers.

The UAM bracelet is handmade near Cape Town, South Africa, as part of an employment and skills building project established by Relate, a non-profit social enterprise. $1 from each purchase is donated to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In just two years, these bracelets have raised enough funds to purchase more than 30,000 nets, which means up to 90,000 more children now sleep safely at night. It also provided incomes for approximately 250 people, who are often supporting up to five others.

The signature bracelet has become a globally recognized symbol of winning the fight against malaria.
