UAM Champion: Tanzania Football Federation President Leodegar Tenga
Leodegar Tenga is a respected football official and UAM ambassador in Tanzania. Bringing leadership and insight to the campaign, he serves concurrently as an executive committee member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as chair of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA), as president of the Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF), and as a member of FIFA's Technical Study Group. He is also a former manager and player with the Tanzania national football team.
"Our task is so simple. We can use football and our organizations as vehicles, as a platform for disseminating messages on how to fight malaria. It is a way for football to do its part. It's a social responsibility."
