African Presidents, Parliamentarians Act on Global Health and Malaria Control Objectives

The first ever international forum of parliamentarians from West & Central Africa (WCA) was hosted in Bamako, Mali, July 13-15. At the end of the 3-day forum, parliamentarians agreed on five core resolutions (20 recommendations) they intend to submit to their national assemblies. More about the Parliamentary Forum. Durng the 15th African Union Summit in Kampala, African Heads of State agreed to expand its maternal health campaign, extend the Abuja call and support a fully funded Global Fund.
